Buddha

An oldie but a goodie. It’s been quite a while since I’ve taken this picture (it’s been on my business card for months), but hasn’t appeared on my blog before. It’s one of my first attempts at strobist photography (so I forgot to write down my flash settings). Still, I’m quite pleased with it. 🙂

The buddha statue is about 10cm high, the key light is a 45″ shoot-through umbrella (camera right), and for the background I used the semi-transparent innards of my 105cm reflector, with a bare flash (gelled dark blue) fired into it from below.
