Through-the-Lens

Project 52, week 34: Upside-down. This is a second take at an idea I had a while ago: take a photo of an object, through another lens. The lens in this case is my 85mm f/1.8. It took some time to align everything and to light the lens without it reflecting, but I like the result.

Setup:
Canon EX580II @1/128, 105mm, camera right, aimed at lens front, flagged
Sigma EF-500 DG Super @1/8, 28mm, subject (salamander) left, into 45″ silver umbrella
Sigma EF-430 ST @1/16, 28mm, into white cardboard backdrop, bare, gelled Medium Blue (Lee #215) All flashes triggered using Cactus V5
