Wooden Waves

Gerdi posing on the Holzbrücke Rapperswil-Hurden bridge across the Obersee near Zürich. At 841m it’s Switzerland’s longest wooden bridge, and ‘commemorates’ bridges that have been in the same location since the Bronze Age.

The bridge consists mostly out of squared wooden beams that have a natural ‘weave’ to them, making for quite a pretty bridge.
